The Courses
The SchaffhausenMasterclasses are music courses of completion on a high and highest level. The students are taught by four renowned teachers and have the unique opportunity to work with all of them in turn. Thus critique and suggestions can diverge. This will help to broaden the access to the works and to find new ways to various interpretations.
The Schaffhausen Masterclasses do not offer the usual music teaching, but aim to provide comprehensive musical studies at the highest level. The key focus is on interpretation and interplay. The development of the individual playing technique is not central. All ensembles and all soloists are taught by four renowned teachers in turn. This leads to congruent critique, but also to diverging suggestions. This method gives enhanced access to the works and creates possibilities to develop new approaches and interpretations.
At the end of the Masterclasses the participants will have the opportunity to perform in public.
For those applicants who will be admitted to attend the Masterclasses there will be no teaching fee.
